Arlo Pro 3 home security cameras now support Apple’s HomeKit | Arlocomsupport.com

Apple's HomeKit smart home framework now supports Arlo Pro 3 security cameras, allowing you to control your devices (lights, cameras, etc.) using the Home app on your iOS smartphone. The cameras were first released in September without HomeKit connectivity, but that has recently been added.

If you wish to use your Pro 3 with HomeKit, you'll need an Arlo SmartHub base station with the VMB4540 firmware. If you're unsure which SmartHub you have, use the Arlo app or log into your account on Arlo's website to find out. (Here's how to do it, according to Arlo.)

HomeKit interoperability with other SmartHubs and base stations will be supported in the future, according to Arlo.

HomeKit is also supported by the Arlo Pro, Pro 2, and Ultra with a wider range of SmartHub base stations.
